Privacy Legal Loophole?!
Is this a fricking joke?!! According to US Federal Code 18 U.S.C. 2511, section 2.a.ii.B, telecommunications providers are required to help law enforcement officials with any surveillance under the Foreign Intelligence Service Act if the U.S. Attorney General provides a written certification indicating that a warrant is not required. In other words, the Attorney General of the United States, who is appointed by the President of the United States, has the authority to ignore the courts and declare, of his own volition, that telecommunications must help wiretap American citizens, or turn over phone records, or really anything related to surveillance. If a crony of Bush says it's OK, then that's good enough. No court order required. Talk about a conflict of interest!!

Bush's Use of Phone Numbers
If you were a dictator who had forced all the phone records for everyone in the country to be turned over so that you could start a crackdown on your detractors, whose phone records would be the first ones you would start analyzing? In Bush's case, apparently it's the phone numbers of news reporters who have written things that he doesn't like. Most dictators would have started there, you have to shut up the media first if you're going to rule with an iron fist. Good job Dictator Bush!

More Bush Lies
So first it was only calls originating from the U.S. going overseas. But now it's any calls anywhere. What more is there to say? Bush needs to resign. If we can impeach Clinton, why the hell hasn't Bush been impeached yet?! Worst President in the past century, easily.

More on Kennedy
So, apparently he now admits that he has an addiction problem, and took the medication at home, only to become disoriented and drive to Capitol Hill, thinking that he needed to vote at 2am. That's a pretty serious "disorientation". On the one hand I feel for the guy, if he does have real addiction issues. On the other hand, his job as a Congressman grants him quite a bit of power, and he's not exactly a teenager or young adult who has gone astray. Either way, he should not be a member of Congress until he has shown that he is over his addictions.
Another Stupid Kennedy
You have got to be joking me about the latest dumb antic by a Kennedy politican. He got himself into a car accident after weaving around the road, crossing into the wrong lane of traffic, and driving above the speed limit, all within plain sight of a police officer. There are several ludicrous things about the situation, including the fact that despite his clear intoxicated behavior both before, during, and after the accident (as noted by the police officers at the scene), they were ordered NOT to give him a field sobriety test and instead simply took him home. It is quite likely that he was drunk, but instead of facing a possible DUI now he probably won't be charged with anything more than a speeding ticket.
Much more ludicrous though is the lame-ass answer he attempted to give to explain his actions. He says that he was working late on Capitol Hill and took both ambien and phenergan BEFORE he got into his car to drive. Either he thinks we are stupid, or he himself is stupid. There is no other possible explanation for him to throw out an idiotic reason like that. Taking ambien BEFORE you drive is just moronic. Ambien is a sleeping aid. Like all sleeping aids, you should be at home getting ready for sleep when you take it. As opposed to going for a drive. Phenergan could be prescribed for gastroenteritis (stomach flu), since it helps prevent vomiting, but it is an antihistamine, and like all antihistamines it causes drowsiness. That is the number one side effect listed for phenergan. The idea that this senator did not know this is preposterous. Again, either he is stupid, or he thinks we are stupid.
In either case he is not competent to decide what our rights should be. He is not competent to send your brothers, your sisters, your children, to die in a silly war. He is not competent to take more of your money away from you in the form of taxes to spend on silly pork barrel projects. Like all the Kennedys after RFK, he is NOT FIT to lead this country. Please do not re-elect him.
God, just when Bush/Cheney/etc. are sitting around making Republicans look bad, here comes a Kennedy to make Democrats look stupid too. This whole political system stinks.
